Well enough of this gloom and doom. I have had one of my best summer selling seasons in years !!!!! We usually slow down right after the 4th of july. Hasn't happened yet. I did 4 estimates for the upholstry / canvas side of my business today and am 2 for 4 so far today. Not big jobs but nice work. A cockpit cove r for a 38 ciggarette , got that one and another for a 18 donzi . Did one of the donzi's last week too. Finished a bimini and enclosure for a sea ray saturday , return customer , did his interior last summer. Working on interior for a 36 chris express right now. Have to say peeps around here are spending it seems. Was tinting the showroom  windows at the largest cadillac dealer in the country last monday and for a monday morning they were hopping!!!!  There was a customer at every salesmans desk most of the day.  :o For now , got a bunch of good jobs , hope it keeps up !!!

Bobby , try the $35 one from greg in 1 in. A little easeir to keep it on the edge over the 3/4. You will like it. If you start doing a lot of covers and tops you'll find you want to upgrade to the swing away.

Same for me , when stitching through the sew foam the stitch length is shorter than no sew foam. Think its the nature of the scrim on the foam.

I have a couple binders both of which I bought from Greg @ keystone sewing here on the board. The first one is in-expensive 100 ls binder. Works great and the price is right. The second is the custom angle binder lower on the page i have posted the link for . I use this one for the 1" binding I do on covers and tops , just about anything. It swings away without un-screwing it from the machine deck when not in use. Not cheap @ 280 but the way to go. Greg set it up for my consew before he shipped it and I just screwed it down and started sewing. This is the binder for me !!
